Baileys and Adams share weekend of Cycling spoils
The Bailey brothers, Shimano and Zefal, along with Cammie Adams, shared the spoils in last weekendâs events put on by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cycling Union, as part of its Keep Fit Programme.{{more}}
On Saturday, in the 300 metres Power Climb, which took place at the Argyle Hill, Shimano Bailey was first, with Cammie Adams second, and third was Albert Quammie.
In the second Hill Climb of one mile, Adams claimed the top spot in a time of three minutes, nine seconds, ahead of Zefal Bailey in three minutes, twelve seconds. Third was Lucky Antrobus in three minutes, fifteen seconds.
Two events were also run off on Sunday.
In the 3.3 mile Time trial from Calliaqua to the Roundabout in Arnos Vale and return, Cammie Adams finished in nine minutes, 52.48 seconds with Zefal Bailey second, in ten minutes, 09 .52 seconds and third was Shimano Bailey in ten minutes, 32. 93 seconds.
In the 20 mile race which followed, the winner was Shimano Bailey, who completed the course from Ratho Mill to the Arnos Vale Roundabout and return, five times, in one hour, 12 minutes, 49.49 seconds.
Docking in second was Zefal Bailey in one hour, 12 minutes, 49.71 seconds.
This Saturday and Sunday will see more races being contested for all categories of cycles.
