BBA holds AGM this Wednesday

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bequia Basketball Association will take place this Wednesday, upstairs the Bequia District Council from 3:00 p.m.{{more}}

Among the agenda items are the President’s Report from long standing president, Sabrina Mitchell.

Also listed is the Financial Report for 2011 to 2012.

The meeting will also look at plans for the hosting of the 14th Annual Bequia Basketball Tournament, which is set to bounce off on Saturday, July 14 and concludes on Sunday, September 2.

High on the agenda is the elections of officers to serve for two years from 2012 to 2014.

It is widely expected that Mitchell will be re-elected unopposed, as has been the case in previous years.

Apart from Mitchell, the outgoing executive comprises Fitz Gerald Junior Sutton as Vice President, Solana Gooding – General Secretary and Colson Peters – Treasurer.

Keithroy Lavia is the outgoing Assistant Secretary Treasurer, with Cornelius Farrell the Games Secretary.

Monica Peters is the Public Relations Officer. The players’ representative is Michael Peniston.

The Committee Members are Shem Ollivierre, Rex Pollard and Kelan Edwards.

At tomorrow’s AGM, at least two representatives from each of the affiliate components are expected to be present.
