South Leeward T/20 Softball Cricket Competition on the go
Lower Campden Park and the Ministry of Health and Wellness recorded victories last weekend in the National Lotteries Authority South Leeward Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Championship at the Campden Park Playing Field.{{more}}
Lower Campden Park got their win as they defeated Rillan Hill by six runs. Batting first, Lower Campden Park made 103 in their 20-overs; Javed Gibson top scored with 27.
Kelroy Warner took 2 for 1, while three other bowlers Shawn Oâ Garro, Emil Small and Jermaine Cruickshank claimed two wickets each for Rillan Hill.
At their turn at the crease, Rillan Hill fell short by six runs, scoring 98. Medford captured 4 for 21 for Lower Campden Park.
And joining in the winnerâs row, the Ministry of Health and Wellness beat Plan by 61 runs. Health and Wellness made 118 for seven in their 20-overs; Isaac Trimmingham top scored with 34 and Tyrone Jack added 28.
Gareth Gould took 2 for 26, bowling for Plan.
In reply, Plan could only muster 57; Kemarlo Bentick top scored with 26. Titmus Trimmingham captured 4 for 10, bowling for Health and Wellness.
The competition continues this weekend at the same venue. (RT)
