Former champions of the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams Twenty/20 Cricket Competition Victors One rebounded from their first round loss to Police Two to win their three on a trot last weekend.{{more}}

Victors One’s first win came at the expense of Eat Rite Saints at Arnos Vale Two last Saturday.

Victors One batted first and made 182 for 7 from their 20 overs. Keron Cottoy smashed 54 and Miles Bascombe, 30. Romario Bibby took 3 for 36, and Kentish Phillips, 2 for 17.

In reply, Saints reached 124 for 6 off their 20 overs, falling short by 58 runs. Amreal Bobb made 43. Ray Jordan took 2 for 17, and Shaquille Browne took 2 for 31, bowling for Victors One.

On Sunday at London, Victors One got past Smashers by 106 runs. Batting first, Victors One posted 156 off 19.3 overs, led by Atticus Browne who made 40 and Miles Bascombe, 36. Marvin Harry 4 for 48 and Kamon Greene, 3 for 26, were Smashers’ most successful bowlers.

Keron Cottoy then snared 5 for 18 and Alston Bobb, 2 for 4, as Smashers were dismissed for 59 in 14.2 overs.

Victors returned in the afternoon to beat Owia Stars by 86 runs.

Miles Bascombe cracked 62 and Donwell Hector, 37, as Victors One totalled 145 for 6 from their allotted 20 overs. Brothers Javadeen Browne took 2 for 19 and Shem Browne, 2 for 41.

Owia Stars could only score 59 in 11.3 overs. Keron Cottoy hauled in 3 for 14 and Norlan Williams 3 for 19.

Saints also rebounded on Sunday to defeat Bequia by 88 runs at Arnos Vale Two.

Saints made 189 for 4, batting first, with Amreal Bobb topscoring with 78 not out. Isaac Haywood contributed 30 and Devane Warner 28. Alan Foyle took 2 for 34

Bequia at their turn was dismissed for 101. Chelston Stowe hit 23 not out, as Kentish Phillips 3 for 23, Romario Bibby 2 for 9 and Kenroy Peters 2 for 13, shared the bowling honours for Saints.

Also, with mixed fortunes last weekend was ASCO .

On Saturday at Buccament, ASCO defeated Victors Two by 8 runs.

Desron Maloney hit his second consecutive half century, 64, which was dotted by 7 sixes, as he compiled 64; Darron Greaves weighed in with 50 not out, as ASCO posted 161 for 5. Kishore Shallow was Victors Two most successful bowler with 2 for 28.

Experienced players Orbiton Ollivierre then hit 49 not out and Denis Byam, 35 but they could not get their team across the line, as Victors Two reached 153 for 6 from their 20 overs. Elric Morris took 2 for 28 and Desron Maloney, 2 for 35.

ASCO, though, was sidelined by defending champions Team Rivals the following day at the same venue by eight wickets.

ASCO was shot out for 82 in 18 overs. Elton Williams made 34. Kadier Nedd grabbed 4 for 25 and Asif Hooper, 3 for 19.Hyron Shallow belted 53 to see Team Rivals to 84 for 2 in 12 overs. Maloney picked up 2 for 20.

Also joining in on the victory parade was Police Two, which beat Bequia by 25 runs at Arnos Vale Two on Sunday.

Mc Leon Williams struck 57 and Gerald Gould, 25, as Police posted 154 for 6 from their 20 overs. Deswayne Williams took 2 for 23 and Nathaniel Williams, 2 for 31, but Bequia in response stopped at 129 all out in 16.2 overs. Jenry Ollivierre topscored with 32, Allan Foyle made 27 and Olanzo Billingy, 26. Gerald Gould picked up 4 for 6 and Elmore Alexander, 3 for 24, for the law officers.

Another set of matches is scheduled for this weekend. (RT)
