New York/Vincy Masters end successful tour
The Vincy/New York Masters Cricket team finished a successful tour of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, winning five of their six matches while here.{{more}}
They rounded off their visit with wins against Neil Williams Academy and a North Leeward Masters Combined last weekend.
On Saturday, the New York/Vincy Masters beat Neil Williams Academy by 29 runs at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field.
Batting first, New York/Vincy Masters made 94 runs in 18.3 overs. Bert Andrews hit 36 not out. Shaquille Jack grabbed 2 for 11 and Timothy Warner 2 for 17, to be the Academyâs best bowlers.
In reply, Neil Williams Academy was bundled out for 65 runs in 14 overs; Jerron Jack hit 26.
Treldon MacMillan was the chief wicket taker, snaring 4 for 17, including a hat-trick, while Ezekiel Williams picked up 2 for 18 and Byron Mars had 2 for 21.
On Sunday at Buccament, New York/ Vincy Masters recorded a 67-run win over North Leeward Masters Combined.
New York/Vincy Masters batted first and posted 121 for 9 from their allotted 20 overs, led by Everad Ollivierreâs 52.
Walliston Stapleton snared 3 for 28, William Edwards 3 for 29 and Federal Jeffrey 2 for 12, bowling for North Leeward.
North Leeward reached 54 for 9 from 14-overs, as they fielded 10 players. Walliston Stapleton top scored with 23; Treldon Mac Millan captured 3 for 10, Ephraim Bacchus 2 for 7 and Eric Browne 2 for 14 bowling for New York/ Vincy Masters.
Last weekendâs wins followed triumphs over London, RSVG Police, and a Buccament XI.
The New York/ Vincy Masters only loss was against Arnos Vale, which was their opening match on the tour. (RT)
