Mustique Company cops Inter Financial Sports title
The Mustique Company was crowned the 2011 Inter-Financial Institutions Games champion last Saturday at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, after outpointing the seven other competing teams that took part in the tournament.{{more}}
Mustique Company clinched the top spot with a total of 276 points, leaving the Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to settle for second, with 253 points.
The victory sparked off scenes of jubilation, dubbed âVictory in the Darkâ, as darkness had already descended on the venue.
Taking the third spot was the re-energised Bank of Nova Scotia, which compiled 226 points.
RBTT finished fourth with 215 while First Caribbean International docked in fifth on 192 points.
First St.Vincent Bank Ltd popularly called âPenny Bankâ took the sixth spot with a total of 187 points.
Filling in the next two places were the St. Vincent Insurances Ltd with 75 points and the National Insurance Service (NIS) on 42 points.
Sobrina Dickson of the Mustique Company was adjudged the Female Indivdual champion, scoring 27 points, while RBTTâs Jeremy Charles was crowned Male Individual champion with 33 points.

This yearâs competition, which saw a record number of institutions participating, kept its usual enthusiasm, as the employees of the various institutions engaged each other in traditional events, such as the Egg and Spoon, Needle and Thread, Sack Race, Potato Race, Plank Race and the energy sapping but competitive Tug- O- War.(RT)
