ASCO takes first innings over Unique Warriors
Ashburton Sports and Cultural Organisation (ASCO) won on first innings points over Unique Warriors, in the lone National Lotteries Authority First Division fixture played at the Stubbs Playing Field.{{more}}
It was the only match in the domestic competition under the aegis of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association, as the unavailability of venues came to the fore again.
Batting first, Unique Warriors scored 127.Left handed batsman, Harley Skerritt, who represented St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the Under-19 and senior levels, led the way with 83.
Bowling for ASCO, Vernardo Primus took 4 for 33, Darren Greaves 3 for 22 and Travis Cumberbatch 2 for 11.
In response, ASCO posted 231 for 9 declared. Andre Hunte was ASCOâs main contributor with 52. He was ably supported by Desron Maloney, who scored 45 and Nicos Davis, who made 40.
Darren Russell snapped 4 for 77 and Samuel Byam 2 for 26.
Batting a second time, Unique Warriors was 67 for 1. Leon Samuel was 29 not out. (RT)
