Participants expected include officials from around the region, including Anguilla, Barbados, Grenada, St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago.
There will also be representatives from the CARICOM Secretariat, Regional Anti-Doping Organization, Commonwealth Games Canada, and the Caribbean Netball Association, among others.
The organization was formed in 1994, with the primary objective of ensuring the quality of sport, youth and physical education programmes delivered throughout the region is of a very high standard and that they are sustainable.
The initial intention was for membership of OCASPE to be comprised primarily of directors of sports or senior sports officers. However, it was realized that all administrators of sport, youth and physical education in the region should be included.
The constitution was revisited and amended and now allows for several categories of membership of which it is anticipated that the base will be broadened and that OCASPE will be a force to be reckoned with in the development of sport and youth in the region.
