Glen marching on in NLA Bagga T/20
Glen United continued its steady progress in the National Lotteries Authority Bagga T/20 Softball Cricket Competition last weekend, at the Keartons Playing Field, with a seven-wicket win over Keartons.{{more}}
Batting first, Keartons reached 66. Troy Harry, Desron Maloney and Wayne Garraway all took two wickets each.
Glen then easily strolled to victory, losing three wickets in the process, as Desron Maloney capped a good all-round performance with 36.
Hill View enhanced their standings when they beat Splendor Boys by 23 runs. In a match reduced to 15 overs, Hillview got to 82 for 8. Rayburn Dickson scored 24 not out. Ramuel Phillips took 2 for 12.
Splendor Boys in reply were dismissed for 59. Renrick Edwards finished with 22, as Rohan Dickson claimed 2 for 17.
Splendor Boys also lost to Valley Boys. Splendor Boys, put in to bat, reached 69 all out in 15.4 overs. Romel Jack bagged 3 for 10 and Randolph Bascombe 3 for 18.
Valley Boys reached 70 for 6 in 11.1 overs. Damien Samuel had bowling figures of 4 for 20.
In the Female Division, Outstanding Girls whipped Daylight Girls by seven wickets. Daylight Girls made 79 for 4 in 10 overs. Arlene Gaymes finished with 29. Kemesha Toussaint took 2 for 18.
Outstanding Girls were steered to victory by Natasha Gloster, who hit 31. Lonor Chambers took 2 for 2.
Also in that division, Ajuba beat Hillview by 49 runs. Ajuba batted first and posted 105 for 2 in 10 overs. Sandra Samuel blazed 63.
Hillview struggled to 56 for 9 in their 10 overs. Rachel Charles took 2 for 10 and Daren Charles 2 for 14.
Ajuba, continuing where they had left off, defeated Daylight Girls, by seven wickets. Daylight Girls, batting first, scored 66. Rachael Charles bagged 4 for 11. Ajuba erased the total, losing three wickets in the process. Sandra Samuel top-scored with 24.
The other two matches in the Male Division saw Kingdom Life Ministries winning by default from Circumstances and Suprizers had that luxury over Future Legends.
