The Competition will be played in four categories: Present (under 21), Junior Past (21- 35), Senior Past (36 – 50), and Veterans (over 50).
Played on a knock out basis, the matches in the first three categories will be of twenty-four minutes duration. Matches in the veterans division will be of 20 minutes duration.
Member of the Organising Committee of Saturdayâs activity, Jacintha Ballantyne, stated that the competition will follow some of Netballâs latest innovations, the fast net.
She said that each quarter will be of six minutes, with two minutes intervals.
Ballantyne said that all three Netball courts at the Arnos Vale Complex will be used and that teams will be allowed running substitutions.
Ballantyne is optimistic that the event will be a time of fun for all those past and present students of the Girlsâ High School.
First round action pits Grimble against Staff, and Moffett versus Headmistress in the seniors, with Moffett facing Headmistress and Staff against Grimble in the Veterans segment.
Staff takes on Grimble, and Headmistress engages Moffett in the Junior Past category.
Among the present students, Moffett faces Grimble and Headmistress plays Staff.
The winners advance to the finals, with the losers squaring off to determine the third and fourth places.
