Victors One tramples Police One

Victors One trampled Police One by an innings and 111 runs in the lone RBTT Premier Division match played in the national cricket programe last weekend at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field.{{more}}

It was Victors One’s second successive win in as many matches.

Miles Bascombe hit a topscore of 63, Alston Bobb scored 61, Lauron Francois struck 58, Kieron Cottoy, 38, and Atticus Browne, 30, as Victors One made 310 for 8 declared. Bowling for Police One, Gerald Gould took 3 for 53, and Parnel Browne, 2 for 65.

Police One in response was shot out for 64, with Randy Yorke hitting 23.

Kieron Cottoy grabbed 5 for 56, and Alston Bobb picked up 3 for 18.

And, asked to follow on, Police One was dismissed for 135 in their second innings, again undone by Kieron Cottoy who bagged 5 for 67. Kenneth Dember chipped in with 2 for 22, and Alston Bobb, 2 for 30. Gerald Gould made 33 for the law officers.

First Division

The two matches in the First Division also resulted in outright wins.

ASCO beat Owia Stars by seven wickets.

Batting first, Owia made 102, with Razine Browne making 34. Bowling for ASCO, Desron Maloney bagged 5 for 27, and Travis Cumberbatch, 3 for 21.

ASCO responded with 208. Chris King compiled 44, Elric Morris, 34, and Nicos Davis, 30. Shem Browne captured 5 for 41 .

In Owia’s second innings, they made 171, led by Omarl Lorriane’s 43, Dean Browne’s 33, and Randy Thomas’ 32. Vernardo Primus snared 3 for 34, and Travis Cumberbatch, 2 for 22.

Deron Greaves scored 31, as ASCO reached 71 for 3 and took full points.

And, Log Enterprises Masters stopped Pastures by six wickets.

Pastures could only make 85, batting first. Ozico Williams was the topscorer with 28. Augustine Victory had bowling figures of 4 for 5, and Jimmy Sam, 3 for 17.

Log Masters, then posted 128, with Augustine Victory, the lead batsman, with 33. Daryl Lyttle grabbed 5 for 43, and Travis Cumberbatch, 2 for 32.

Pastures fared slightly better batting a second time, as they made 129. Damal Phillips scored 35, and Isaac Trimmingham contributed 32, as Jimmy Sam took 6 for 33, and Augustine Victory, 2 for 46.

Log Masters finished on 90 for 4, as victory was achieved. Osbourne Lavia was the topscorer with 24. Damal Philips took 2 for 20, in a losing effort for Pastures Youths. (RT)
