He made his feelings known last Saturday at the Dauphine Community Center, as (ASCO) staged its 18th edition Presentation and Awards Ceremony.

Despite the hiccups during the tournament, the evening ceremony went smoothly.

Bownie Allicott, who was adjudged the Player of the Tournament, topped the list of awardees.

The award was added to her Best Defending Player title and her Most Valuable Player accolade for her team, ASCO One, the winners of the League, in Division One of the competition.

ASCO One completed the major individual awards, with Sheldene Joseph, voted the Best Mid-Court Player.

Rhiana Cumberbatch, a nine year old, who represented ASCO Six, was awarded for being the youngest player in the tournament.

The Most Promising Junior Player was Sameisha St. Hilliare, also of ASCO 6.

The Top Shooter in Division One was Juliette Williams of Division One KnockOut winners, CC’s Crystals. Williams netted 139 goals from 193 attempts, an average of 72 percent.

Copping the Top Shooter award for Division Two with an average of 75.6 percent was Adonna Hazel of Vets Sports Club. She sank 164 goals, of her 217 tries.

The Division Three Top Shooter was Khadya Williams of Clinchers 3. Her 116 goals from her 165 attempts saw her registering a 70.3 percent shooting average.

Additionally, one player from each of the 17 teams, which competed in the tournament, was rewarded with a trophy as her team’s Most Valuable Player.

In the team awards, in Division One, ASCO One secured the Gavin Woods trophy and $500 for placing first, with the second place outfit, ASCO Two, taking away the Diane Questelles trophy and $300, and third place, CC’s Crystals, the Merle Gibson trophy and $250.

Crystals also secured the Division One KnockOut title, and gained a trophy and $150.

Double winners of Division Two, debutants in the tournament, AJ Block-Making Ian Allen Secret Clikers, an Owia-based team, got the Agatha Matthews trophy and $200 for taking the league, and the Patsy Holder trophy and $120 for capturing the Knock Out segment.

Second in the Division Two league battle, Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem took away the Thelma Foster trophy and $175.

Clinchers Three, won both the League and KnockOut crowns in Division Three and gained Sheldene Joseph $150 and the Bownie Allicott $100, respectively.

Petroleum Maintenance ASCO Five was second to Clinchers Three in the league and secured the Cecile Cambridge trophy and $100.
