NLA TBPO Softball competition gets tougher

Teams are being separated in the National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive Organisation Softball Cricket Competition.{{more}}

Last weekend, Young Strikers, La Croix, Dr. Thomas Injectors, RSVG Police and Nex Level all recorded wins.

Young Strikers beat Computec Vintage by 40 runs.

Davidson Lavia hit a topscore of 28, in Young Strikers’ total of 96. Michael John, 3 for 11, Kemron John, 2 for 30, and Rohan King, 2 for 26, bowling for Vintage.

Extras made the most significant contribution, 27, as Vintage’s innings closed at 56. Rohan Baptiste, Zimroy Baptiste and Raymond Young all took 2 for 7.

Touch of Pearl La Croix had an eight wicket win over Vincom Nex Level. Ron Adams, 4 for 4, and Floyd Hull, 2 for 11, combined to restrict Nex Level to 52 for 9.

Ron Adams then hit 21 not out, as La Croix rushed to 56 for 2, in just 5.4 overs.

Dr. Thomas Injectors, batting first against ASCO, posted 118 all out. Stephen Straker was the topscorer with 17. ASCO was bowled out for 39, to lose by 79 runs.

Also in the winner’s column was RSVG Police, who defeated BEDCO by 47 runs.

Elmore Alexander struck 46 and Salvan Browne, 41, as the law officers got to 171 for 7 off their 20 overs.

BEDCO’s response halted at 124 for 8 in their 20 overs.

Damion James scored 30 and Anjel Holder made 22. Bowling for RSVG Police, Rolando Wright took 2 for 15, Maxian Richardson, 2 for 24, and Renford Jack, 2 for 25.

The other scheduled match saw Nex Level beating Gomea Bombers by default. (RT)
