Dennisford Foster has been returned as President of the Ashburton Sports and Cultural Organisation (ASCO) for an unprecedented 20th year.{{more}}
Foster was elected at last Thursdayâs Annual General Meeting held at the Gomea Methodist Church.
He has held the post since the organizationâs inception and was once again elected unopposed.
Fosterâs deputy is Diane Questelles, who was the Treasurer of the out-going Executive.
The Vice Presidentâs post was the only one that needed ballots, as Andrea Cupid also vied for the position.
Questelles triumphed 8-5.
Cupid, though held on to her post, and like Foster was the other Executive member who was returned in her previous position. Cupid remains the organisationâs Secretary.
The new Assistant Secretary is Merle Gibson with Michelle Horne returning to the Executive as the Public Relations Officer. The new Treasurer is Michael Foster.
The committee members are Claudette Questelles, Leon Chandler and Veta Franklyn Quammie.
Questelles and Chandler are debutants in the positions.
