Default bug hits TBPO Softball Cricket
The second full weekend of the 2010 National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Softball Cricket Competition has been hit by an early bout of defaulting.{{more}}
Only one of the scheduled matches was played, with one forced postponement, and the other two decided by way of default.
The lone match to see action was the Kenâs Plumbing and Associates Shot Callers versus Dr. Thomas Injectors.
Batting first, Dr. Thomas Injectors posted 100 from their 20 overs. Dean Burgin took 2 for 14, and Kemron Williams 2 for 22, bowling for Shot Callers.
In reply, Shot Callers reached 101 for 3, in 15.1 overs. Rudolph Davis was the topscorer with 39 and Terrance Patterson hit 19.
But it was a sorry tale as Glen United won from Ruddyâs Electrical by default, so too did Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem over Street Vibes.
Organisers are hoping for better fortunes this weekend for real softball Cricket to light up the Dauphine Playing Field.
On Saturday from 1pm, Glen United is slated to meet Jus For the Fun, and from 3pm, Pine Hill Clinchers meets Young Strikers.
On Sunday, from 10 am, Touch of Pearl La Croix faces Street Fighters. From 12: 30 pm, it will be Computec Vintage Older Boys against Macâs Little Saints and defending champions CGM Novice takes on ASCO from 3pm. (RT)
