Middlesex stands alone

Playing against Jinnah at Sea View, Middlesex won the toss and elected to bat first making 195 all out in 38 overs. Joseph Ledwridge was the topscorer with 65, Treldon Keagan Mc Millian, 36 not out, and Jacob Emmanuel, 25.
In reply, Jinnah was dismissed 150 in 31.5 overs, as OâNeil Powell took 2 for 0, Adam Sanford, 2 for 19, and Dominic Audain, 2 for 38. Middlesex won by 45 runs.
But Cavaliers was not that efficient against Diplomats of Guyanese origin at Sea View on Sunday. Diplomats batted first and piled up 282 for 5. Arlin Hinds top scored with 110, Francis Mendonca struck 59, Tonio Mc Kenzie, 53, and Kevin Charles, 20.
The Cavaliers batsmen were pushed aside for a meagre 96 all out. Mendonca put in a good turn with the ball taking 4 for 24 as Diplomats romped to a commanding 186 runs victory.
Imperial, who came close to winning, were not close enough to overcome for Challengers, also on Sunday.
Challengers took first strike and posted 268 for 9 in 33 overs. Imperial replied spiritedly with 244 for 9 in 33 overs. Orien Bostic led the way with 65, Jason Williams made 56 and Kester Sylvester contributed 46, but Imperial lost by 24 runs. (RT)
