National Juniors Tennis championship in high gear

Tennis will again be a featured sport in St. Vincent and the Grenadines as national players participate in the 2010 Summer National Junior Tennis Championships sponsored by Caribbean Alliance Insurance Company / Haydock Insurances Ltd.{{more}}

Tournament dates are July 17 to the 24. All categories of play are scheduled- Boys and Girls Under-10 to Under-18. National players are poised to earn valuable ranking points as well as prepare for the upcoming ITF International Junior Tennis Tournament in August in SVG.

The SVGTA is pleased to have first-time sponsors Caribbean Alliance Insurance Company / Haydock Insurances Ltd. participating in this event. National Junior Tennis tournaments average over eighty-five participants which represents the largest individual participation sport in SVG.

The National Summer Tournament builds on the SVG Tennis Association’s plans to provide a full calendar of National and International tournaments and events to promote the national growth of Tennis. With completion of the successful Easter National Junior Tennis tournament and the scheduled ITF International Junior Tennis Tournament in August, Junior Tennis players continue to be exposed to competition on different levels.
