National Netball Tourney heads for KO phase

The Digicel National Club Netball Tournament is heading for the Knock Out phase.

The League segment in all four divisions is nearing the end, with a few run: away leaders.{{more}}

Already securing Division One is Western Union Mitres/ TRAC; in second spot is 2010 Courts OECS Champion of Champions club winner, Vita Malt Maple; holding down the third spot is X- Ceed Sports Club.

The Division Two is being headed by Calliaqua United with Gatorade Eagles trailing them.

There is a big tussle for the top spot in Division 3, as C & R Enterprises Sion Hill and French Verandah X-Ceed are the two unbeaten teams.

The X-Ceed clan leads the charge in Division Four, followed by Maple in second position.

With interest waning, last weekend saw a spate of defaulted matches. On Friday, all three scheduled matches went the way of the default route. In Division Four Maple won by default from Clinchers 3, so too did Sea Operation Nah Fren Dem over K P Marina New Era Pepper Stars in Division 3 and in Division Two Gatorade Eagles collected easy points from Everready Future Stars.

On Saturday, Layou Orions won by default from Struggling Youths. In real action on the court, French Verandah X-Ceed scored 64 to Irie Travel Vets’ 21 and Western Union Mitres/TRAC Standard Shippers saw off Standard Shippers Falcon 71-29.
