Police Two, Spartans record massive wins

Police Two and the News Spartans notched up massive victories in the RBTT Premier Division of the National Cricket Competition last weekend.{{more}}

Police Two amassed 365 for 5 declared against a hapless Packers United. Shackey Greene blasted 112 not out and Salvan Browne, 105. Mc Leon Williams, 47, and Oneil Thomas, 37, were also in the run feast at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field.

Mc Neil Morgan took 2 for 134.

Packers, fielding only eight players, in reply made 60. Renford Samuel, 3 for 38, and Rolando Wright, 2 for 8. Asked to follow on, Packers was shot out for 73. Mohammed Lavia, 2 for 15, and Elmore Alexander, 2 for 21, as Police Two won by an innings and 202 runs.

At the Stubbs Playing Field, the News Spartans humbled Victors Two by an innings and 63 runs.

Spartans made 237 for 7 declared. Kissinger Mc Lean, 83, Darnley Joseph, 76. Ray Jordon, 3 for 34, and Jenry Ollivierre, 2 for 38. Victors Two made 86. Kevin Abraham, 36. Micah Joseph, 3 for 3, and Kissinger Mc Lean, 2 for 12.

Batting a second time, Victors Two made 78. Kissinger Mc Lean, 3 for 19, Krishna Da Silva, 2 for 6, and Teron Simon, 2 for 7, bowled Spartans to maximum points.

Bottlers First Division

Only one match was possible in this division.

The heavy rains, though, gave Log Enterprises Masters enough time to gain first innings over Moses Douglas Radcliffe Two.

Harvey Pope made a top score of 33 in Log Enterprises’ total of 119. Anthony Harper bagged 3 for 33, Kamon Greene, 2 for 16, and Romano Warren, 2 for 40.

Radcliffe Two fell short by four runs, as they made 115. Michael St. Hillaire and Kentley Joseph both struck 35, as Pope enjoyed bowling figures of 4 for 47, Junior Bacchus, 3 for 11, and Aaron Bascombe, 3 for 22, in restricted play at the North Union Playing Field.

The other match between Hairoun Beer North Leeward and Ruddy’s Electrical Unique Warriors set for Buccament was rained out. (RT)
