Special Needs holds annual Sports Meet
They were all champions as the School for Children with Special Needs held its annual Sports Meet last week Wednesday at the Victoria Park.{{more}}
Traditional events such as the sack race, the water balloon race, among others, were all part of the dayâs activities.
Before that, though, Red House won the March Past, with Blue House second, and Yellow House,third.
Emerging also were the male and female champions of each of the houses .
Jeffrey Thomas was Red Houseâs male champion, with Chellise Da Silva,the female winner.
Securing these titles for Yellow House,were Nickron Cupid, the male champion, and Tamika Primus, the female champion.
Renaldo Delpesche was Blue Houseâs top male performer, and Aneisha Sutherland, that houseâs female champion.
There was also a 100m dash for past students which was won Derrick Telemaque.
Named the Richard Joachim Sports Meet in honour of the late Richard Joachim, who contributed too willingly to the event during his lifetime.
The Sports Meet is just one of the activities planned by the school in its 35th anniversary, which is being celebrated this year.
Other activities in their year of celebration are a Thanksgiving Service, a Boat Ride, a Fun Day and the launch of the schoolâs official website. (RT)
