The donation came from Scotia Bank and was handed over at the bank on Tuesday afternoon.

Manager of the Scotia Bank, Basil Alexander, stated that they are always pleased to partner with and be associated with youth development. Alexander said that they had donated funds toward the group previously and that they look forward to partnering with them in the future.

President of the SVGCU Trevor Bailey returned similar sentiments, stating that the group is happy to be partnering with Scotia Bank. Bailey mentioned that they will continue to develop cycling in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and that they have started a youth programme in the Georgetown area. He also stated that the union will also develop nutrition programmes.

The donation will go toward the development of the programmes.(OS)
