In keeping with the concept recommended internationally for children by the IAAF, the competition catered for students from 7 to 16 years old.
The competition, therefore, replaced the normal inter-house sports with a Kids Athletics House Competition.
Held on the school grounds, three houses: Wilson House (Red), Samuel House (Yellow) and Shortte House (Blue) competed in six different events: Hurdles, Formula One, Triple Jump, Speed Ladder, Forward Throw and Endurance.
It was for the first time that every student of the school participated in a sports competition.
At the end of competition, Yellow House finished ahead of the other two houses, with 59 points, closely followed by Blue House, with 55 points.
Red House compiled 49 points in the keenly contested outing.
Yellow House triumphed in the Kindergarten to Grade One segment, as well as the Grade Six age group. The other two categories were shared between Red House and Blue House.
The Grades 2 and 3 winner was Red House, and Blue House came away winners in the Grades 4 and 5 segment.(RT)
