Radcliffe takes Premier Division lead, Cato stars

AOL Boutique Radcliffe earned full points over Irie Travel Packers in the RBTT Premier Division of the national Cricket programme last weekend, and are in the lead in the eight-team race.{{more}}

Packers batted first and were shot out for a paltry 36. Off spinner Dyke Cato took 3 for 7, and left arm fast bowler Dellorn Johnson, 3 for 15. Radcliffe replied with 113 for 3 declared. Verbert King, 50 not out. Batting a second time, Packers fared better and reached 96. Federal Jeffrey topscored with 25. Cato took 3 for 18 to finish with match analysis of 6 for 25. Westwick Straugh helped with 2 for 24.

Radcliffe reached 22 for 1 in their second innings to win by nine wickets and go to 40 points.

Also, in the Premier Division, there was a no result between Victors One and Victors Two, because of rain and seepage.

Victors One made 255 for 5 declared. Atticus Browne led the way with 62. Donson Andrews chipped in with 48, Alston Bobb made 40, Donwell Hector posted 33, and Keiron Cottoy helped himself to 28 not out. Renaldo Coombs was Victors Two most successful bowler with 2 for 47. Victors Two was 57 for 2.

In the Bottlers First Division, rain also had a major say in the outcomes.

BMC Agencies Matthias United had to settle for first innings over ASCO Two. Matthias United complied with 163. The consistent Shayne Alexander hit 68, Ozico Williams struck 47. Nico Robinson, 5 for 31, Oswald Soleyn, 3 for 61, bowling for ASCO Two, who responded with 90. Nicholas Stephens, 2 for 3, Brent Ollivierre, 2 for 30, Kelvin Quashie, 2 for 33, shared the bowling honours for Matthias United. No play was possible on day two at the Brighton Playing Field.

There was also no play in the Police One versus Moses Douglas Radcliffe Two at the North Union Playing Filed, and Neil Williams Academy against Belmont at Buccament Bay.
