Pitani and Kingstown masters in opening Cricket Victories

Two games were played last Sunday in the SVG Masters Cricket Competition. At the Buccament Playing Field, Kingstown Masters defeated Sion Hill Masters by 30 runs.{{more}} Bradley Brooker led the scoring with 31, and got support from Wendel Parris, 29 and Brian Alexander, 16 in Sion Hill’s innings of 129 for 7 from their allotted 20 overs.

Dudley David and Joe Horne picked up 2 wickets each for a combined total of 26 runs, bowling for Sion Hill Masters.

Sion Hill Masters in reply were restricted to 99 runs from their mandatory 20 overs. Dudley David top scored with 22, while Joe Horne was unbeaten on 20. Joseph Medford, 2 for 19 was Sion Hill Masters Most successful bowler.

At the North Union Playing Field, Murray Heights P’Tani Masters humiliated C.K. Greaves Vintage Arnos Vale Masters by 70 runs.

P’Tani Masters chalked up 134 runs for 7 wickets from their 20 overs. Adolphus Campbell slammed a hurricane 91 not out. Cecil Mckie picked up 3 wickets for 24 runs, bowling for Arnos Vale Masters, supported by Leroy Glasgow with 2 wickets for 18 runs.

Arnos Vale in reply were routed for 59 all out. Adolphus Campbell starred with the ball, on this occasion, capturing 4 wickets for 18 runs. Ray Laborde also grabbed 2 wickets for 4 runs.
