Imperial reaches BCL Knock Out Final

Imperial Cricket Club will be keeping the Vincentian flag flying high when the final of the Knock out competition of the Brooklyn Cricket League is played on Saturday, September 27, against Punjab.{{more}}

Imperial got the right to face off with them with back to back wins last weekend.

Imperial beat Cavaliers in an all Vincy clash last Saturday. Cavaliers batted first and made 132. Dominic Audain, 51, was the only Cavalier batsman that made a decent score. Lester Benn assisted him with 19.

Osbourne Mofford, 3 for 19, Kelly Payne, 3 for 39, Kester Sylvester, 2 for 37, and Orient Bostic had 2 for 2.

For Imperial it was a quick and easy walk over, as they replied in 22 overs with 133, losing four wickets along the way.

Everad Ollivierre, 41, Foster Lewis, 28 not out, and Enoch Lewis, 17. Dominic Audain took 2 for 14.

This win moved Imperial on to Knock Out Semi final and Cavaliers out of competition.

On Sunday, Imperial formalised the rites with a win over Travel Treat.

Imperial took to the crease first and made 147 all out in 30 overs. Bostic topscored with 49. He was supported by former St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Windwards middle order batsman Colville Browne, who made 24, and Everad Olliverre, 21.

Zafir Iqbal took 4 for 2, and Muhammad Hussain, 2 for 27. Bostic, 4 for 28, Mark Lawrence, 2 for 21, conjured up to see Travel Treat dismissed for 127 in 33 overs. (RT)
