SESCO takes Masters championship
A nail biting Final between Gibson Building Supplies Ltd SESCO and Jebelle FC saw SESCO coming out the champions, two goals to one in last Saturdayâs Masters Over 35 Football tounament.{{more}}
Godfrey Gumbs of Jebelle FC scored the lone goal for his side. SESCO missed out on a number opportunites in the first half of the game. But all was not lost, as the equalizer came in the 51st minute when Curtis âFameâ Josesph dribbled up the right flank and squard the ball in the six yard box to Alfred âBageâ Jackman who put it home for SESCO.
The winning goal came in the 55 minute when Curtis âFameâ Joseph, after receiving a pass up the right flank from George âRobbieâ Matthew, turning and beating two defenders hit it to the right of the goal keeper and netted victory for SESCO.
Supporters from Sharpes quickly invaded the playing field, which caused a slight delay in the resumption of the match.
Gibson Building Supplies Ltd SESCO walked away with most of the awards which followed immediately after the game.
Tyrone âTibaâ Prince of SESCO walked away with the most goals trophy after scoring a total of 15 goals in the tournament, Best Goal keeper went to Grenville âHippoâ Andrews, while Curtis âFameâ Joseph walked away with the MVP of the Finals and MVP of the tournament.
