Cricket mourns the loss of Stephen Alleyne

The Directors and Staff of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) on Tuesday joined the Barbados Cricket Association and all those involved in cricket throughout the Caribbean in mourning the loss of one of the region’s foremost cricket administrators, Stephen Alleyne.{{more}}

Alleyne was deeply involved in the administration of cricket at both the Territorial and Regional level. As a Member of the Board of Directors of the WICB, he made a significant impact on the development of the regional game. His knowledge of the game and his ability to manage complexity were brilliantly demonstrated in his leadership of the Barbados Local Organising Committee for Cricket World Cup 2007.

The President of the WICB, the Honourable Dr. Julian R. Hunte, has sent condolences to the widow and daughter of Mr. Alleyne.
