After three hours of high octane action, the father and son combination of Steve and Dominic Ollivierre were too good for their opponents.
The dexterity long course saw son Dominic beating his father into second place. Driving his Mitsubishi F 20, Dominic clocked 1 minute 03.82 seconds to finish ahead of the pack. Father Steve in his superior Empire Cigarette Mitsubishi Evolution 8 finished in 1 minute 0.385 seconds. Third in his Honda Civic was Shaundy St. Hillaire who clocked 1 minute 44.99 seconds.
But it was Steve all the way in both the short course dexterity and the loose sprint.
In the dexterity event, he timed 36.06 seconds, with Dominicâs timing to take second place being 36.42 seconds. Veteran driver Ali Clouden in his Aliâs Garage Mitsubishi Mirage clocked 36.62 seconds to finish third.
The loose sprint was the feature of the afternoon creating much excitement from the large crowd that turned out.
Again it was Steve Ollivierre who was in a no nonsense mood, making mince meat of those who dared to challenge him.
Although given a head start, all of Ollivierreâs opponents were left wanting as he maneuvered his mean machine with the skill that his made him the top local driver.
Ollivierreâs recorded the best time of 1 minute 47 seconds. St. Hillaire was second in 1 minute 50.23 seconds. Art Huggins was third in 1 minute 50.43 seconds.
With their appetite whet, those present at Diamond last Saturday cannot wait for the unfolding of the next occasion to see their favourite drivers and cars on show.(RT)
