Instead the two will be focussing their attention on walks outside St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Vincentians are expected to come up against Jamaican Pam Hall and Grenadian Marlon Edwards, but Daniel is inviting more competitors to accept the challenge.
Daniel and Butcherâs prominence as dare walkers reached its zenith when they walked for five days in 2005 without sleep traversing several villages here in St. Vincent. However, their desire to enter the world renowned Guinness Book of Records was met by rejection by the well acclaimed authorities.
But Daniel at a Press Conference last Wednesday at Cross Country Radio on the Vigie Highway said that everything was place for recognition this time around. An assertive Daniel was confident that the Guinness authorities will have no choice in recognising their efforts, once they accomplish their task.
Daniel in dismissing his detractors said that the walk âis to use our legs to reclaim the land for peace and to get our names in the Guinness Book of Recordsâ.
They ventured to walk around Emancipation in Jamaica last September for seven days continually, however Butcher was unable to complete the journey.
Danielâs motives to push the human body to its limits were brushed aside by Dr. Chester Toney who has given the all clear for the duo to embark on their challenge.
Toney said that it was now up the mental state of the two as physically they are good to go. The walk begins from 5 pm at the Victoria Park, but they have their eyes set on walking in Europe next year.(RT)
