The Stubbs based team took full points over the struggling St. David’s at the Arnos Vale Playing Field.

Again the father and son combination of Dawnley Joseph and Dawnley Grant were in full flight for Spartans. Following their input the previous weekend that saw Spartans taking first innings points over Rivals, the duo were two of the top performers with the bat.

Joseph, a former St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Windwards, and West Indies A team hard hitting opening batsman, turned back the clock as he hit 107 not out to lay the platform of his team’s innings of 276 for 7 declared. Showing his belligerence, Joseph’s innings included 10 fours and 3 sixes.

Grant, Joseph’s offspring made 33, with Nixon Mc Lean contributing 36 not out. Dorson Cottle was St. David’s most successful bowler with 2 for 67.

Micha Joseph 3 for 27 and Reynold Mc Lean 2 for 5, undermined St. David’s batting as they were dismissed for 115. Asked to follow on, St. David’s were routed for 111. Teron Simon 3 for 37 and Reynold Mc Lean 3 for 33 were the architects of Spartans bowling, as they marched to an innings and 50 run triumph.

The other RBT Premier Division fixture was not played because of the non-preparation of the Stubbs Playing Field.
