GRENADA STILL CHAMPS

Grenada still recovering from back to back attacks of Hurricane Ivan last year and Emily earlier this year, showed their fortitude by wining both the League title and One-day championship of the Windward islands tournament.

The Spice Islanders disposed of the Vincentians on two occasions to ensure to attain the double. Grenada replied with 328 to SVG’s 292, and in the One day affair, blew away the Vincies by seven wickets. {{more}}

The Vincentians beat St. Lucia in the final round of the One day show down, but that was to no avail as the Grenadian played unbeaten.

A 14-member Windwards squad has been announced for the Presidents Cup. The squad includes Vincentians: Deighton Butler, Kenroy Peters and Orlanzo Jackson.
