Kineke strikes Gold at CAC Games

Kineke Alexander maintains her successes on the track.
The 18 year-old added the 400M Under-20 Caribbean and Central American (CAC) Junior Games Gold medal to her list.
She clocked 53.93 seconds at the Games held recently in Mexico. But this was not her best time in her main event.{{more}}
Alexander returned 53.83 seconds at the 2004 Junior Carifta Games in Bermuda. There she placed second, while establishing a national record.
Her recent gold medal, was her second medal at CAC. She was second in the same event at the 2002 Games in Barbados. Then, Kineke was in the Under-17 age category.
Alexander is due to leave this Saturday for the World Junior Games in Italy.
The Mexico Games were also an occasion of celebration for another member of Vincentian team, Adonson Shallow. He placed second in the Under-20 Shot Putt and third in the Discus. Shallow’s medal tally at the CAC Games climbs to five. In 2002, he earned gold in Shot Putt, silver in Javelin, and bronze in Discus.
The other athlete at this year’s Games was Casnell Bushay. He participated in the 100 and 200 Metres. Bushay reached the final in the 200 Metres.
