Peto Stars beat Rangers

Peto Stars, spurred by performances from Orland Hooper, 62, and Sheldon Hooper, 45, held on to a 203-run win over Rangers last Sunday.
The match, played at Richmond, was part of continuing action in the Vinlec North Leeward Senior Cricket Tournament.{{more}}
Peto Stars knocked up 282 for 9 from 38 overs. Sidney Morris, 3 for 40, and Devon Mars, 3 for 55, were the main wicket takers for Rangers. Orland Hooper, 3 for 15, supported by Ronnique Laborde, 3 for 13, combined to rout Rangers for 79 off 23 overs.
In the other fixture at Troumaca Bay, Ajuba One secured an eight-wicket win over Smokey. Ajuba rattled up 107 for 2 off 13 overs spurred by Michael Joseph’s 39 not out and David Porter with an unbeaten 29.
Smokey was dismissed for 106 off 20 overs, despite the heroic stand of Shelton Hooper with 48 not out. They were wrecked by Alfie Gould’s 4 for 29. The competition continued last weekend with two more matches. Troumaca United played Enforcers at Richmond and D’Affaires, last year’s champion, took on Ajuba Two at Troumaca Bay.
