Persons can expect new programmes for Ezee Radio as it celebrates its fourth anniversary. The station, known for offering a different music experience, has added several new programmes to its line up.{{more}}

The programmes include Deserted Island Picks hosted by Shanelle Greene on Saturdays from 11 am-12 noon. The programme centres around giving the listener a calming and relaxing experience as if they were on a desert island.

Fuzion, hosted by Javelle Frank, airs on Saturdays from 5pm -6pm, brings together a mixture of all kinds of music from all parts of the world such as African beats, jazz, rumba and many others, while Sunday Brunch offers cool relaxing music between 11 am to 12 noon.

Marketing Manager of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Broadcasting Corporation (SVGBC) Candice Sealey stated that the company has some additional programmes planned, including Memories, Ezee Live and E Spot entertainment news. However, they are still in the process of organizing them.

Although the station popular for its inspirational alternative music is only celebrating it fourth anniversary, Sealy said that it had been conceptualized for some time.

Sealey related that the concept for the radio station is all about offering listeners something different.

“Sometimes you want to hear some relaxing music, something that takes you away from whatever it is you’re doing. You want a radio station that can give you music, entertainment, history, to take you to a different culture, a different place that you may or may not be able to travel to in your life. That was the idea behind the conceptualization of Ezee radio.”

She explained that the music played on the station ranges from blues, jazz, Latin, inspirational and alternative. The radio station also carries a wide variety of programmes to cater to the listening needs of the general public.

She, too, related that the feedback from the listening audience has been great. “The response from the public has been extraordinary,” she said, adding that persons usually offer suggestions to artistes who the station can feature.

Sealey also disclosed the plans for the fourth anniversary which include promotions for listeners and clients of the company. A call in radio contest is just one of the promotions that are currently on stream. “We do appreciate our advertisers and listeners so we are going to do something unique for them,” Sealey said.

Ezee radio can be heard on the frequencies 102.7, 91.1 and Total Fm 100.5. (OS)
