Bailey was the first to end the race from Kingstown to Colonarie, then to the Roundabout in Arnos Vale and back to Diamond twice, before ending at Howard’s Marine, in Villa Flat, a total of 58 miles.

His completion time was three hours 4 minutes 7 seconds, as he shaved off more than five minutes over the same route, done two Sundays prior.

On that occasion, Bailey clocked three hours 9 minutes 55 seconds.

Likewise, Enroy Lewis, who was second to Bailey in Sunday’s race, also improved in his timing. This time around, his three hours 4 minutes 22 seconds was faster than his three hours 13 minutes 27 seconds.

And, completing Sunday’s top three Elite cyclists’ places was Lucky Antrobus, whose time three hours 42 minutes 22 seconds.

Meanwhile, Wilkinson’s two hours 32 minutes 44 seconds bettered his two hours 47 minutes 11 seconds in the last outing.

Some distance behind Wilkinson was Peter Durrant, who covered the 46 miles in two hours 50 minutes 10 seconds.

The other participant in the Masters, Orel George, did not complete the race because of mechanical trouble.

The Masters, unlike the Elite riders, were only required to do one lap of the Arnos Vale Round about to Diamond circuit.(RT)
