Can the Unions come up with another compensation suggestion?

Editor: I found your editorial of Friday, April 24 to be excellent. Our educators from pre-school to tertiary level play a valuable role in society that cannot be counted in money. One T-shirt reads – in praise of teachers – “if you can read this – Thank a Teacher.{{more}}” A “one-off” payment is a brilliant suggestion – the cost is the challenge. Can the Unions come up with compensation in services that may be more beneficial and lasting over time?
