SV2G, a Charity organisation in the United Kingdom has received an award of £98,010 from Arts Council England to deliver a new two-year cultural and musical heritage project.
Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, the project will bring together musicians, cultural practitioners, and young people to explore the deep cultural connections between African drumming traditions, Indigenous Garifuna drums, and Caribbean steel pans, a release from SV2G states.
The project blends cultural heritage, AI technology, and creative learning that celebrates the evolution of rhythms from ancestral drums to steel pans.
“This award from Arts Council England is a profound endorsement of the cultural work we have championed for many years.
