Two local Resorts in international competition

THE USA TODAY 10 Best Reader’s Choice Awards has shortlisted two local resorts- Sandals and Canouan Estate Resort and Villas among a group of other all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and is asking people to vote for the best.

The Sandals Resort on mainland St.Vincent has been nominated in the USA Today’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice Awards, best all-inclusive Caribbean resort, while the golf course on the Canouan Estate Resort and Villas is competing for Best Caribbean golf course.

Voting is allowed once per day and ends on Monday, December, 29 2025 at 11:59 a.m EST.

The Sandals website describes the resort as located, “In a private cove bordered by a lush forest and gently flowing river” and notes, “you’ll find Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines- where you can step off the beaten path and explore a less-travelled wonder of the Caribbean. The natural beauty of this crescent-shaped archipelago on the southern end of the Lesser Antilles is well cared for and alive. The peaceful blue waters, humming rainforests, and black-andwhite-sand beaches are ideal for all sorts of adventures. Whether it’s dives, hikes, or just an afternoon in the sun, there’s no wrong way to unwind”.

Canouan Estate’s website says that the resort, “offers a unique collection of carefully appointed Luxury Villas, residences and 1-2 bedroom suites across 1200 unspoilt tropical acres.”
