Caribbean Airline introduces baggage tracker system
A NEW FEATURE that sends email notifications to Caribbean Airlines customers at key stages of their travel, including when a passenger’s bag is loaded onto the aircraft and when it arrives at the destination, has been introduced.
Described as proactive baggage status notifications, the new feature is said to provide clearer baggage updates throughout a journey and as a result, support a more reassuring travel experience.
The notification feature is made possible through the airline’s recent completion of Luggage Logistics’ Load and Track baggage management system across all stations in its network.
Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Caribbean Airlines Nirmala Ramai, in a press release, said the initiative is part of a consistent focus on improving the customer
experience by giving passengers timely, accurate updates about their baggage.
“We are addressing one of the most common concerns in air travel. Building confidence throughout the journey,” Ramai said.
Adam Dalby, the CEO of Luggage Logistics, the company behind the technology, said they look forward to working with Caribbean Airlines with the combined aim of driving improvements and operational efficiency throughout their network.
