Fireworks display and flag raising to kick off Independence month celebrations

A calendar of activities leading up to the celebration of this country’s 46th anniversary of independence, begin with a flag raising ceremony tomorrow, October 1, 2025. The national flag raising ceremony, fireworks and lighting will be held on the grounds of the Financial Complex starting at 6:00 p.m.

The events are organised by the National Independence Committee, under the auspices of the Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture,Carlos James. He is among persons expected to deliver remarks at the ceremony.

Highlights of the ceremony will comprise of:

• The hoisting of the National Flag

• Fireworks display

• Lighting of the Financial Complex building

• The keynote address by Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves. The public is invited to attend.
