Mainland, firmly NDP territory says Cummings
CHAIRMAN OFTHE NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTY (NDP), Daniel Cummings, has appealed to constituents in the Southern Grenadines to re-elect Terrance Ollivierre in the upcoming general election, but this time, to be on the governing side in Parliament. He told residents on the most populated island in the Southern Grenadines that seats on the mainland are firmly in the hands of the NDP, and urged voters on Union Island to bring the incumbent Olliverre home.
Cummings was among the NDP top brass who visited the Grenadines earlier this month for meetings in Canouan, Mayreau and Union Island.
Speaking at the meeting in Union Island on Sunday, September 7,2025 Cummings reminded constituents what the next general elections will be all about.
“This election is not just about re-electing Terrance, it is to give the biggest whooping on those who pretend to care about you,” Cummings stated.
“It is about making sure that your constituency joins in the government of Dr Friday and the New Democratic Party, to take St Vincent out of the hands of the careless.”
Cummings who is the incumbent member of parliament for West Kingstown, said the NDP has already laid out plans how it will revive the economy of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).
