Registration for NTRC’s 2022 iCode784 competition now open

The registration period for the 2022 icode784 Competition is now open and will end on Friday October 7, 2022, at 4:00pm.

“Participating teams in the competition have the chance to win cash prizes worth up to $5000.00. In addition to winning up to $5000.00 in cash prizes, two persons from the winning Open category team will be travelling to Barcelona, Spain in March 2023 to attend an event for startups hosted by GSMA called 4YFN (4 Years From Now),” a release from the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) said.

The icode784 competition comprises of three categories: Secondary Idea category, Secondary Mobile Application category and the Open category. Participants entering the Secondary Idea category must present an idea for a mobile application that will facilitate the implementation of new systems or improve existing systems for both the private and public sectors within St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Participants entering both the Secondary Mobile application category and Open category must present a mobile application.

The competition will take place between Wednesday September 14, 2022 – Wednesday November 16, 2022. All secondary school students and St. Vincent & the Grenadines residents under the age of 35 are eligible to enter the competition.

Registration can be carried out by visiting the NTRC’s website at www.ntrc.vc.

The competition is open to all secondary school students as well as citizens of St. Vincent & the Grenadines under the age of 35 years.
