Women, you have value and worth

Editor: Women! Where is thy dignity? In this day and age where some may even say it is the ‘women’s world’ this question, is an important one. It does not apply to all ladies, but to a high percentage of ladies today. We know that in the carnival season it is outrageous in terms of the dressing and behaviour, but outside of the carnival, I wonder if some ladies have dignity.

Today, a man does not have to imagine what a lady is wearing any more since the clothing of many is highly revealing. The sad thing is that many mothers dress their young daughters in these short, revealing clothing. It begs the question: ‘where is the dignity?’ and also, it raises the question as to what society are we raising? These girls would one day be adults and it is highly possible that a vast majority of them would continue as adults to dress in this outrageous way, since they were brought up in this way, and added to that their mothers are doing the same thing. So for them, it is the norm and an acceptable way of life.

Then ladies turn around and wonder why some men see them just as sex objects. They use them, abuse them and leave them. Now I am not saying it is right for any man to treat ladies that way, but do many ladies contribute to it? That is why a man has to be strong and principled.

This question goes across the board when it comes to ladies. It is not only the young, single ladies, but also many married, and I must add ladies who are actively involved in church. So tell me where is the respect that ladies have for themselves and if they don’t respect themselves, how can they expect men to respect them?

Ladies are many times seen as sex objects. Even in advertisements, it is ladies that are portrayed half naked. It makes me wonder, where is the dignity of ladies?

It is time that in a world where ladies are so dominant in every aspect that they carry themselves in a decent way. It is time to take a good look at your self worth and realize that you have value and worth and be dignified.

Having said that, I know many ladies would not agree with me and would tell me it is their body and their choice. While that is true, think about the message you are conveying and ask yourself the question, ‘ Am I being dignified? Take pride in yourselves ladies and lift your standard. Let us have decency and uprightness. God bless us all.
