An intolerable hell

EDITOR: Now drugs, usually accompanied by alcoholic beverages, are wasted by 48,000 young people between 14 and 18. This announces serious danger of getting involved with marijuana and cocaine.

This is equivalent to 2.2 per cent of the population. However, the phenomenon is already alarming because it produces the following consequences that may be the first signs of the problem: lack of memory, abandoning the classroom and discussions. Drugs also cause circulation problems.

These were the results of the National Drug Plan during the exposition of the 2007 report about drugs waste. It has discovered an increase of heroin waste. This is not injected, but it is inhaled in form of cigarettes. These are called “Chasing the dragon.”

The more you consume drugs, the more you will need it. Sellers promise to the unwary teenager that it “will lead him to paradise”, but they do not warn that the price he/she will pay is self-destruction, physical and mental deterioration and that the temporary paradise will transform into a long and unbearable hell.

The fight against the drug trade to stop this harmful threat to society that arouses murder, terror and promotes physical and emotional devastation of many people, demands a political pact, international collaboration and collaboration of us.

“From the bottom of anguish, fear and escapist phenomenon like drugs (typical of the contemporary world) emerges the idea that goodness and happiness are not obtained without the effort of everyone,” said John Paul II.
