Sincerest thanks
Editor: I used this medium to express my sincerest thanks to the present administration. We must not only criticize when it is necessary, but we must also give thanks and praise when it is deserving.
The long awaited Leeward highway is now completed for this we say thanks. It is true that some remedial work has to be done. However, the completion of the project has made life easier for the vehicles traveling that route. Care must now be taken by the many drivers on the road and safety must be the number one priority.
It is indeed good news to hear of the proposed fixing of some of the other roads in our country. For this, many thanks. The Calder road, which was named as one to be fixed, is welcome news. Of course, we know that there are many more roads waiting to be fixed, but we have to appreciate the limited resources that we have.
It is also a welcome sight, seeing BRAGSA doing some patching of the holes in the road from Layou to Barrouallie. For this I say many thanks.
Of course, we know there are many things to be done and we should continue to highlight them, but let us put aside political differences and say thanks when they are done. Let us, as Vincentians, continue to love and cherish this blessed country of ours. Not forgetting also to compliment the prison authorities for improvements in security and also the facelift of both institutions. Thanks once again. May God bless SVG.
