During the period leading up to a political election, people, including church members, were active in supporting and talking in a very lively manner about the political party they supported. Some went on the platform and spoke loudly, without fear, promoting their party.
However, when it comes to being lively and zealous in going around and speaking about God, these same people are not seen. In Matthew 24, Jesus speaks about the last days in which we are now living. Matthew 24:14 specifically states: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.â Jesus, of course, was not joking!
He certainly indicated that His followers will be preaching the message of Godâs kingdom during this very time â the last days.
Church members, wake up! Acts 5:42 shows that the apostles had the custom, like Jesus, of preaching from house to house. Matthew 10:12. They went out to meet people, rather than just go to buildings to worship. One popular religious group we know of, regularly, yes CONSISTENTLY, go to peopleâs houses and preach. Chapter 8 of their main study book entitled, “What Does the Bible Really Teach?â discusses the gospel of Godâs Kingdom. Sometimes, some people do not treat this religious group well, which is sad. I do commend them for their perseverance in not giving up at all, regardless of some peopleâs negative responses.
Galatians 6:9. Church members, ask yourself please: What do I love more â politics or God? If we really love God more than politics, why donât we prove it by going out and talking about God and the gospel of his kingdom to people at their homes and elsewhere? Acts 28:23, 31. Let us love God above everyone and everything else, including above politics. If we can be enthusiastic about politics, how much more so should we be about speaking of God and His Kingdom!
Churches, please, wake up! The end of the world is NEAR! Like Jesus and his apostles did, church members should be willing to know the truth about Godâs kingdom and preach it. Matthew 4:23; Luke 4:43; Luke 8:1. Truly, this matter is of loving, yet very serious concern! Churches, Wake Up!
