Editor: Ask most persons the question, do you love God and his Son? The answer from them all is most likely “Yes,” especially around this time of year. However, is their behaviour proving that they love God or his Son? The answer: “NO!” How does a person prove that they love God? 1 John 5:3 answers by stating: “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments…” So we prove that we love God by obeying his commandments. {{more}}A person who practices indecent language, lying, stealing, an immoral lifestyle, heavy drinking of alcohol and anything else not in line with God’s Word does NOT love God or His Son. We can sing hymns as much as we want; pose off with and read the Bible as much as we like. If we do not practice the clean commandments in God’s Word, all the things we claim to do for God the heavenly Father and His Son, are a big waste of energy and time. We cannot fool God! Jesus said at John 8:29 -”And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” Will we be like Jesus and practice the things pleasing to God? To those who pretend to love God and Christ, please make a change and try to become obedient to God. Romans 14:12 mentions: “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Hence, EVERY ONE of us has to answer to God for our actions and receive either everlasting life or everlasting destruction. John 3:16; 2 Thessalonians 1:9. Read, meditate, and obey God’s Word. Always remember: God and His Son See You! So Watch Your Conduct!
