Is America falling?

Editor: Is America falling? Your guess is as good as mine. In Proverbs 14: 34 we are told that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. Thus, when we consider the following points, we would be able to give an answer.

There are four major unrighteous decisions that were made by America. Those decisions may have accounted for the many ills that are going on in America. Also, according to the Bible, America is not in biblical prophecy as a super power.{{more}} Thus, they would lose their position as a super power. It would not be surprising if Donald Trump wins the presidency of America. While many West Indians would not like this, however, who knows, he might just become the president to continue to carry America down and will play a big part in its downward movement.

The many crimes and even the economic situation in America may be as a result of its downward movement, simply because of the four major decisions they made, which are: taking the Bible out of the schools and prohibiting prayers to be said in the schools; legalizing gay marriage under the guise of freedom of human rights; making abortion legal; and rising up in opposition to Israel (not being a friend to Israel).

We know that the above mentioned choices made by America dishonour God and are therefore unrighteous. Therefore, we know that righteousness exalts a nation and these choices have not been righteous; as a result, there would be consequences negatively. When everyone seems to do what is right in his or her own eyes, then the country or nation will take a downward movement. When God is not honoured, then there would be downward movements. When sin is practised widespread, a reproach will follow.

So, the mighty America, I suppose, is reaping the consequences of its sin and ungodly decisions. So, is America falling?
