Opposition leader does it again!

Editor: Arnhim Eustace, the leader of the NDP, has proven himself, once again.

Mr Eustace, in anticipation of a court decision on Monday, April 4, 2016, went on the airways Saturday night (April 2) to rally his troops, should that decision prove to be not in his favour. This behaviour is the equivalent of a temper tantrum by a spoiled and unruly brat whose parent refused to give him his way.{{more}}

What message is Mr Eustace sending to the Vincentian public? He is essentially saying to all of the people in SVG, especially the little impressionable children, “when you can’t get your way, it’s acceptable to engage in uncivil behaviour.” Why do we have a court system if it’s not to create and maintain civility based on the Rule of Law?

Arnhim Eustace’s disrespect of the Rule of Law shows that he does not belong in leadership. His message is one that encourages and promotes chaos. This is not something that should be encouraged in a civilized society.

Every human has experienced disappointment some time or other. The spoiled and immature child throws himself on the floor, rolls, screams and whines. The mature individual, holds his head erect, washes his face, reassesses his mistakes and move on with the determination not to experience the same outcome again and again.

Arnhim Eustace appears to be incapable of taking responsibility for his own actions. He is a perpetual victim of someone else’s “injustice.” His myopia keeps him blinded to the fact that each time he blames another, he is essentially diminishing his own personal power.

When is the NDP going to wake up and smell the coffee that Arnhim Eustace is its greatest liability with this “perpetual victim mentality?”
