Vincentians, take heed, live for God
Editor: January 12, 2015 would go down in history as another sad day in this country of ours. The pain of the many mothers and fathers who lost their loved ones in that tragic accident would be hard to die. Indeed all Vincentians both home and abroad share in the pain. I take this opportunity to express my deepest condolences to all the families who are suffering the grief and pain. Tears are a language that God understands.{{more}}
This tragic accident is but a reminder to one and all how uncertain life isâ we are here today and gone tomorrow. Thus it is important that we as Vincentians take heed, give our lives to him, turn from our wicked ways and live for God.
This is no time for negative talks concerning the accident. It is no time for finger pointing and accusation, but rather a time to live better with one another. It is a time for us to put aside the party politics and unite as one people.
We must be conscious of what the Bible says in Hebrews 9:27, “and as it is appointed unto men once to die and after this the judgment.â Thus we may never know when our appointment with death would come. Let us at this time be supportive of the families who lost loved ones and also those who survived.
It is time that this nation goes down in prayer and fasting asks God for mercy and asks Him to help us. It is time that the Christians live righteously and the ungodly turn away from that which is evil.
I am sure when the dust has settled that we would know the causes of the accident and that more information would be given. It is a time for healing. Let us at this time strive for healing of our mind and forgive each other so that we can be forgiven.
May God bless SVG at this time and the bereaved families.
